Energy Scouts 2025/26
Our Apprentices Honored at the National Finals
Our apprentices Max Klehn, Nick Luca Restorf, and Tom Schmeling were awarded the special prize in the category “Energy & Climate (Large Companies)” at the national awards ceremony hosted by the Corporate Network for Climate Protection (UNK) and the European program Young Energy Europe (YEE) in Berlin.
The three apprentices qualified for the national finals through the Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s (IHK) Energy Scouts program. The program encourages apprentices to explore energy and resource efficiency and to develop their own ideas for greater sustainability in everyday business operations.

The Brüggen team impressed the jury with their project to optimize a production process. The focus was on a practical approach that demonstrates how innovative ideas and technical expertise can contribute to greater energy efficiency and climate protection.
A total of 68 teams from all over Germany had qualified for the national awards ceremony. Around 300 apprentices and young professionals presented their projects and demonstrated the important contribution the next generation can make to the sustainable development of companies.
The award is a special recognition of our apprentices’ commitment, initiative, and technical expertise. At the same time, it underscores the high priority Brüggen places on innovation, sustainability, and the promotion of young talent.
We warmly congratulate Max, Nick, and Tom on this tremendous success and are delighted to receive this special award. We are proud of their dedication, their innovative spirit, and the outstanding performance with which they represented Brüggen at the national level.
