Oat Day 2025 in Thelkow
Strengthening Oat Cultivation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Together
On June 18, 2025, we hosted this year’s Oat Day in Thelkow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) – a forward-looking industry gathering for farmers, experts, and partners from the agricultural sector in northern Germany. The focus was on sharing insights about regional oat cultivation and jointly developing new perspectives for the coming years.
Insight into practice and research – from the field to sowing
After a warm welcome by representatives from our company and the regional agricultural sector, the event began with a guided tour of the adjacent oat field. Various oat varieties were presented and their characteristics and special cultivation features were explained directly in the field.
This was followed by concise technical presentations in which experts gave recommendations for the upcoming autumn sowing in 2025 and provided practical advice on variety selection, seed quality, and cultivation strategies. Participants also took the opportunity to engage in personal discussions, exchange experiences, and establish new partnerships.
A day dedicated to oats
The Oat Day not only offered in-depth expertise, but also a platform for strengthening the regional network. The successful combination of practical relevance, scientific expertise, and partnership-based dialogue made the event an inspiring impetus for oat cultivation in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
